1. Who We Are

Silo DSP is an audio software business based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store passwords in plain text.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). We do not receive or store your credit card details. Paddle provides us with a transaction record including your email and the amount paid.

Machine activation data. When you activate a plugin, we record a hardware identifier and a name for that machine to enforce licence limits (maximum 2 activations per licence).

Contact messages. If you contact us via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and maintain your account; process and deliver your purchases; generate and deliver licence files; enforce activation limits; communicate with you about your account and purchases; and respond to support enquiries. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Supabase. We use Supabase (headquartered in the United States) to store account data and licence files. Data is stored in accordance with Supabase's privacy practices.

Paddle. Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record and processes all payments. When you purchase from us, you are subject to Paddle's privacy policy as well as ours.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and purchase records for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, including encrypted storage, secure HTTPS transmission, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections if it is inaccurate. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in to your account. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
